Center Spread

Hey Shamus,

I got everyones numbers off julia today. I emailed them to you via this forum. (hopefully it worked)
Alot of us dont live in the city and have to leave home pretty early to get there by 10. I know me and nick V are leaving around 8 and I think Michaela and Simon both live on the central coast so it would be good if we could find out whats doing pretty early.

Also I was thinking bout the spread and thought since you have the contents page to do perhaps the image directors could take care of the centrespread. I think its important for everyone to be involved and the image directors havent had that much of chance to do that yet. What does everyone think???

I agree with that, we should give the image directors more of a chance to do something but also if we can be let known early if its on or not because i have to leave by 8.30 to get there on time... thanks!! )

Any ideas as to when when we could reschedule the photo shoot? Seeing as the weather has been so unpredictable lately, perhaps it would be wise to book one of the studios early next week! In terms of the centerfold concept, I liked the idea of everyone somehow interacting with the tape from the cassettes. Maybe we could make it so that several people hold the tape to form the letters S A M P L E?? Would work well in either studio or grassy field, also I've done several shoots in the botanical gardens with rather scantily dressed models and never had a problem or been asked to leave. So maybe we could rethink doing the shoot there?

I'm also handy with a DSLR, so more then happy to help out with photography

I think that would be good if we could reschedule for sometime next week at uni, we have pretty nice grassy grounds so should look good. Perhaps we could take a time out from class and do a quick one on wednesday - If the image direction of the mag is supposed to have a snapshot / polaroid feel then maybe the quick shoot will work well.
Like the idea of the tape saying sample too.

What do all you guys think????

yeah, i like the grassy knoll idea.
i have a polaroid if ya need one, but i dont have film.

if not we can always use the green room and edit out the background too. if worst comes to worst.

Sorry i wasn't in class yesterday, medicine im on has zombified me.

Here are a few ideas i had for the centre spread using the photos Shamus took last week, they are a bit rough, but i want to get everyones opinion and see who favours what before i finish them. Also if anyone has any other ideas of how i could make these look better, that would be most appreciated.

Hey Annalise,

They look great! I was a bit apprehensive about the idea of jumping around in the air at first but youve done a pretty good job of not making it look too lame. I think that 3rd B&W one is the best, adds humor and works a little break from all the articles so the mag isnt so serious. The drawings are what makes it. They work really well with each pose.

PS. Oh and also, just an idea, perhaps if we wanted to keep it consistent we could use part of each of these shots for the roles page instead of all having different photos? just a suggestion... would work well both ways.

i really like the center spread that Annalise did, a specially the third one, it looks great, funny and creative!!!

It would be better to keep seperate photos of everyone, some of us look a bit wonky when we jump, inc me hehe . Also, the photos will be quite small, and you can't see everyone properly when they are shrunk down (from the jumping shots). This way you can choose your own photo - therefore a more fun, more "you" photo will be presented, if that makes sense.

Though please note, if i do not get a Photo from you ASAP i will have to use the jumping shot,

just thought id let you know where this was going, the minority that have commented have favoured this style, as we have next to no time left i have just gone with it
